Graziano’s is a well known restaurant and market chain in Miami

Graziano’s is a well known restaurant and market chain in Miami
Since the 1960s, the business has grown to 8 different locations where people can have a delicious meal, sip a coffee or even buy their exclusive Argentine delicacies. Most of Graziano's products are manufactured at their own production plant that serves all of their sites.

A custom food manufacturing software to streamline operations
Graziano’s is not a tech enterprise per se, but their executive team recognized the many advantages in incorporating digital solutions to optimize processes and improve product quality. Over the last four years, we’ve been working together on a food manufacturing platform where employees record and track all of the production steps, from product assembly in the plant to commercialization in the markets and restaurants.
This custom platform replaced a manual, paper-based process and gave Graziano’s total control over their goods. At first, they looked for existing tech products to solve their needs. When they couldn’t find any software that met their requirements, they decided to partner with us because of our extensive experience and willingness to comprehend their intricate business logic.

A 4+ year partnership launching and iterating a cloud product
Since 2017, Octobot and Graziano’s have worked together to first launch their custom food processing software, and then to improve it gradually. In the platform, different users from Graziano’s teams manage activities related to different business areas:
Product acquisition and fabrication
Inventory and warehouse management
Quality assurance and traceability
Order management and delivery
Accounting and reporting
The software's different views and tools allows Graziano’s to streamline operations by connecting their professional teams while integrating communication in one tool. Products are brought to market faster and more cost efficient, while complying with all regulations.
Do you want to transform your business and your users’ lives?
Gaining visibility and control by accessing real-time, accurate data
As soon as a new product arrives at the plant, it receives a barcode that is later used to track the product’s life cycle within the software. It’s easy to identify where the product is, if it was used or is still available, and even if it’s past the expiration date. Other data includes weight and temperature, among others. This level of traceability has been key to defining and adjusting costs since there’s a clear view of production expense. It also helps prevent quality issues by identifying products with expired dates.
In both the restaurants and markets, Graziano’s staff requests products through the platform. Later, the warehouse team receives the order and prepares it by looking for the products in the system. Once the goods are scanned and the order is prepared, it’s sent out for delivery. As the platform is connected to Graziano’s accounting system, the order’s invoice is automatically generated with the shipment.

An ever-growing partnership elevates the product to the next level
An ever-growing partnership elevates the product to the next level
Throughout these 4 years of partnership, we have provided Graziano’s with development and design services. Our team composition adapted to the development process needs and on various occasions representatives from Octobot visited the company in Miami to learn firsthand.
Graziano’s highlights the food manufacturing software stability and reliability, as well as its efficiency: before having the platform, barcode scanning would take 30-45 seconds per product. Now, it’s immediate. It translates into savings of one FTE (full-time equivalent) per year. We have redesigned the platform with a strong focus on its UX, and automating some steps of the process to avoid mistakes. Now, the team at Graziano’s are able to compare vendors’ prices and buy in a simpler and faster way –prices from different vendors have been standardized and users even have an option to go automatically to the best option – which improves the decision making process.
