A new idea for a long-time problem

Handoffs is a completely new solution to the market. Its four co-founders came up with a revolutionary idea to make it easier for collaborators to exchange information about any open matter. Whether it is an open sales process, a newly hired onboarding, or a redistribution of tasks after someone retired, this platform is meant to make organizing information easy, and the handoffs even easier.

Handoffs' co-founders come from a corporate background. They came up with the product idea after many big enterprise handoff experiences that were long and confusing with task pile-ups on top of people’s already demanding backlog, among other sources of pain.

A big challenge in this project was defining the technical needs and the best ways to create an innovative platform with no competitors or references. Our clients had big ideas and specific requirements, and we brought solutions to the table, presented them with different options, and demonstrated their strengths.

Another key part of the solution are its integrations. The platform obtains information from many sources and for it to be efficient, it has to be connected with CRMs and other tools users currently use. Finding solution compatibility takes a lot of dedication.

The first step was working in the wireframes and ideas brought by the client. During the initial phase of the project, some processes were not clearly defined, and our teams worked on these areas to achieve a set of standard processes and quality.

Our design team was dedicated to understanding the solution’s main values and benefits to its users, so we could plan the tasks accordingly. The wireframes and screens were made in a very short timespan, to comply with the client’s needs and schedule.

At the same time, a team of developers started working on the creation of an MVP. This process included some big landmarks such as developing a Chrome extension so users could access the solution easily without the need to open the web version.

Each company defines a template according to which their handoffs are going to be created. This ensures the documments are standarized and include all the necessary information.
Connect the platform with the CRM
The user connects the platform with the CRM their company uses, so the handoffs document can get information from there and be exhaustive with the data.
Set up who will receive the handoffs
When setting up the platform, users can determine who will receive their handoffs documents. Then, the app ensures that the people who are in charge of the next steps of the process get the information at the right time.
Create a trigger
Finally, a trigger can be set for when we want a handoffs to be sent, for example when a sales process is closed and a client is ready for kickoff. By doing this, the users can rest assured that the handoffs will be sent as soon as their colleagues need the information.

Launching an MVP to first-time paying customers

Launching an MVP to first-time paying customers

The client launched their platform to their first users, and quickly acquired their first paying customers. The reviews so far have been great, and show how much the users value this new solution; it saves time and increases the accuracy of the handoffs processes.

Once the product's first version was launched, we went through a review period and collected feedback from the users. This resulted in a new roadmap for growing the platform and adding relevant features.

Right now, we are working on triggers that can make the process faster. The idea is that after a user takes a certain action, such as marking a deal as closed, the platform will automatically build the handoffs material, for it to be sent to the person who is in charge of the new client’s experience. Another key aspect of this stage is developing an AI integration that could help the platform automatically take relevant information from different, external tools.
